The North American Aviation T-6 Texan to give it it’s full name, is better known as the Harvard. Used as an advanced trainer by many countries during World War 2 and into the 1970’s, the Harvard first flew on the 1st of April 1935. A total of 15,495 were built with an estimated 500 around the world still flying today. The Harvard is a popular aircraft for airshows and pleasure flights, with the New Zealand aerobatic team, the “Roaring 40’s” using the type for displays
