Hawker Typhoon RB396
On the 1st of April 1945, RB396 was hit by flak whilst on a ground attack in the Netherlands. Flight Lieutenant House made a skilful forced landing and evaded capture. After the war she was recovered by a scrap dealer and passed through a couple of hands before finally being rescued by Dutch enthusiasts for a museum. In 2012 RB396 was repatriated to the UK with the ambition to one day return her to flight. The Hawker Typhoon Preservation Group was established in 2016 and the group are working tirelessly to get RB396 airborne once again. 50% of the profit of each purchase of our wall hanging depicting RB396 goes directly to the cause of getting this once great fighting machine back into the air, commemorating all who served.
